iphone blogging
This is my first attempt at using the WordPress app for the iPhone. The app is free and sets up in less than 30 seconds. Do you know your URL and password? You can set this app up.
It’s fine for what it is, but I wouldn’t want to do long posts with it for pretty obvious reasons. Also, you can’t include links (from what I can tell).
This is likely an app you’d want to design content for — like writing short poetry, posting photos with a quick note, or doing something else impressionistic.
It’ll be interesting to see how much I use it, if at all. But hell, it was free so it’s all good.
Just for shits and giggles — and to see how it looks — here’s a pick of my new favorite snack: Hello Panda

MarsEdit 2.1.3
Red Sweater is out with a new update to its MarsEdit blogging platform. As I’m just starting out with the blog, I’m interested in what these blogging platforms have to offer. I’ve used MarsEdit and am currently using Ecto — although I’m still on the trial. I initially chose Ecto because it supported tagging, which MarsEdit didn’t seem to do.
However, since I made that choice I’ve come to realize that these tags are associated with del.icio.us and don’t apply to the blog itself. This is fine I suppose, but sort of pointless from a SEO point of view. This new version of MarsEdits seems to support tags, so perhaps I’ll check it out.
More on new MarsEdit release on TUAW.
Update: This post points to MarsEdit supporting tags in WordPress. The switch may be on.
